How to edit text in a PDF
- Choose your PDF. Open a file from your device. No account or upload is needed.
- Select existing text. Click or tap a word or line, then change it in the editing field. Use the Editable text list if a small line is hard to select.
- Check the result. Choose Left, Centre or Right to hold that edge or centre in place while changing the text. Undo is available if you want to go back.
- Save your PDF. Download the edited document and check it before sharing. Save before closing the page.

Can I change a date or fix a typo without converting to Word?
Yes, when the text and its font are supported. RevisePDF edits the existing PDF text. Use individual text edits for a date, name or typo, or link compatible lines to edit a paragraph.
Will the font and layout stay the same?
RevisePDF uses the original font where it can reproduce the edit safely. Some fonts contain only the letters already used in the document, so new characters may be unavailable. Use the + controls beside compatible lines to link a paragraph. Words can reflow within those linked lines, with optional justified spacing. Text must fit the linked area; unrelated content does not move.
Why can’t I edit some PDF text?
A page may be a scanned image, use unsupported fonts or contain text that cannot be matched safely. RevisePDF does not perform OCR or cover old text with a white box. Find out why a PDF may not be editable.
Does my PDF get uploaded?
No. The editor processes your PDF on your device. The website loads its application files, but your document and edits stay in the browser. Read the privacy information for details.
